This course will look at;

  • Attachment issues
  • Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
  • Toxic stress and the amygdala
  • The toxic triangle of mental health issues, substance abuse and domestic abuse and the implications for those living within this environment
  • The risk of not spotting accumulating risks!
  • Defining domestic abuse
  • Links to stalking and harassment behaviours
  • Sexually abusive behaviours
  • Sexual offending, including female sex offenders
  • Identifying risks to children

We will make brief reference to relevant legislation and to your existing policies and procedures and signpost learners to further reading and resources.
