How do offenders access victims?
About this Session
In this video training session, Matt from TDI answers the question 'How do sex offenders access victims?'. We talk about the ways in which victims are related to offenders, consider some of the methods they use to get close to them, highlight the skills which sex offenders have which allow them to secure victims, discuss grooming and introduce the idea of situational risk.
This video is accompanied by an exercise, 'Concerning behaviour', which is available alongside the video.
This session builds on the TDI Explainer of the same name, which may be a good place to start for those who are coming to this topic completely fresh.
