Sue Winfield, OBE
Sue's main career was in the Probation Service, retiring after 32 years when in the role of Deputy Chief Officer for the Northumbria area. During this time she was involved at national level chairing a number of committees developing the work of probation in the criminal courts. She then undertook non-executive roles in the NHS.
Sue was one of the founder members of TDI and has continued to support it as a Trustee for more than 25 years.
In addition to being a trustee of TDI Sue undertakes a number of other voluntary roles including working as a volunteer with Fine Cell Work which trains prisoners in needlework. Sue is also a Vice President of the Community Foundation for Tyne and Wear and Northumberland.
